The HP Slate 2 tablet PC allows users to create, edit and review content using Windows with multi-touch capabilities.
With a starting weight of only 1.5lb (.69kg), the HP Slate 2 features an Intel™ Atom Z670 processor allowing for improved battery life and enhanced graphics performance. It also comes equipped with WiFi Certified WLAN and optional HP Mobile Broadband 3G features to keep you connected and on top of important information. Security has been enhanced with a TPM Embedded Security Chip, keeping data protected. An improved PSD (Personal Secure Drive), secure mail and protected digital certificate applications all add to the security story.
With enhanced touch capabilities, the multi-touch display lets you use your fingers to browse through documents, spreadsheets or applications. The Touch Enhancements for Windows 7 improves navigation and provides touch buttons for an easy-to-use interface. The new Swype keyboard is great for efficient and fast data entry or use the traditional Microsoft onscreen keyboard instead. If you prefer a pen, try the optional HP Slate Digital Pen and Evernote™ software to handwrite messages and take notes. This is especially beneficial in a meeting or even a classroom setting.
The integrated VGA webcam on the front of the HP Slate 2 enables video conferencing, while the 3MP camera on the back can be used for still-image and video capture. With the increased use of multimedia in presentations, SRS Premium Sound has been added to the HP Slate 2.
Accessories can expand your capabilities and maximize mobility and productivity. Rest the HP Slate 2 in the HP Slate Dock and gain a desktop experience with two additional USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI port. Other must-haves include the rechargeable Bluetooth Keyboard; sleek, stylish Case and Digital Pen.
